BRIG GEN DATO’ ABDUL HADI BIN ABDUL RAZAK (R)

Chairman

Born on 2nd April 1948 in Kuala Terengganu, Malaysia, Brig Gen Dato’ Abdul Hadi (R) is an alumnus of The Royal Military Academy Sandhurst (UK), The Royal Artillery School (UK), and the Malaysian Armed Forces Staff College. He also holds a Master’s Degree in Strategic and Security Studies from the National University of Malaysia (UKM). Commencing his career as a military officer within the Royal Artillery Regiment in 1970, his 37-year tenure in the Malaysian Army spanned diverse field commands and senior staff roles at the Ministry of Defence. Notable appointments included Commanding Officer of the 5th Royal Artillery Regiment, Commandant of the Artillery School, Head of the Artillery Project Team, Director of Strategic Planning at MINDEF, and Senior Military Assistant to the Minister of Defence. Conferred the rank of Brigadier General in 1999, he commanded the 3rd Artillery Division and served as Chairman of the Royal Artillery Regiment. Following his retirement from military service in April 2004, Dato’ Abdul Hadi transitioned into corporate leadership, heading Advance Defence Systems Sdn Bhd as Chairman, while also serving as a Director for Satria Ajaib Sdn Bhd, and in non-executive director roles for Berjaya City Sdn Bhd and Petravest Sdn Bhd. In recognition of his distinguished service, he was honored with 'Datukship' titles by both HRH The Sultan of Kelantan (DPKK) and HRH The Sultan of Terengganu (DPMT).

MR ARSAM BIN DAMIS ​

Appointed to the Board on 3rd April 2004, Mr Arsam bin Damis qualified as a Chartered Accountant (England and Wales) in 1974 and holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Economics (B.Sc. Econ) from the London School of Economics. Born on 21st March 1947, his early education began in the primary and secondary schools of Pontian, Johor, before he completed his secondary schooling at the Royal Military College in Sungai Besi, Selangor (1963–1967). Upon returning from the United Kingdom in 1974, he joined the public accounting firm Messrs. Hanafiah Raslan and Mohammad (now part of Ernst & Young). Two years later, he transitioned to Bank Bumiputera (subsequently known as Bumiputera-Commerce Bank, now CIMB Bank), where he spent a decade managing internal audit, credit processing and administration, leasing, and corporate banking portfolios. In 1987, he was admitted as a partner at Messrs. Arthur Young (now Ernst & Young), taking primary responsibility for the firm's information technology consultancy practice. He was later invited to rejoin Bank Bumiputera in 1990 as Chief General Manager, a senior executive role overseeing Information Technology, Human Resources, Financial Controls, and Credit Controls.

BRIG GEN DATO’ ABDUL HADI BIN ABDUL RAZAK (R)

Dato’ Abdul Hadi was born on 2 April 1948 in Kuala Terengganu, Malaysia. A graduate of The Royal Military Academy Sandhurst UK, The Royal Artillery School UK and The  Malaysian Armed Forces Staff College.

He holds a Masters Degree in Strategic and Security Studies from The Malaysian National University. He began his career as military officer in the Royal Artillery Regiment in  1970. He served the Malaysian Army holding various field commands and as staff officer at Ministry of Defence. Among his appointments were Commanding Officer 5 Royal Artillery Regiment, Commandant of Artillery School, Head of Artillery Project Team, Director of Strategic Planning Ministry of Defence and Senior Military Assistance to the Minister of Defence. He was promoted to the rank of Brigadier General in 1999 commanding 3rd Artillery Division and appointed Chairman of Royal Artillery Regiment. He attended various military and non-military courses locally and abroad in United Kingdom, USA and Australia.

Brig Gen Dato’ Abdul Hadi retires from the Malaysian Army in April 2004 after serving the Army for almost 37 years. He has been appointed as Director to Advance Defence Systems Sdn Bhd, Satria Ajaib Sdn Bhd, Berjaya City Sdn Bhd (non-exec) and Petravest Sdn Bhd (non-exec) since his retirement from the Army. Brig Gen Dato’ Abdul Hadi (R) was conferred with ‘Datukship’ by HRH The Sultan of Kelantan (DPKK) and HRH The Sultan of Terengganu (DPMT).

EN ARSAM DAMIS

He was appointed to the Board on 3rd April 2004. He qualified as a Chartered Accountant (England and Wales) in 1974, holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Economics (B.Sc. Econs) from the London School of Economics. Born on 21st March, 1947 he has his early education in the Primary and Secondary School of Pontian, Johor from where he continued his secondary education in the Royal Military College, Sungai Besi, Selangor (1963 – 1967).

Upon his return from the United Kingdom in 1974, he was employed by Messrs. Hanafiah Raslan and Mohammad (now part of Messrs. Ernst & Young) a firm of Public Accountants. Two years later, he joined Bank Bumiputera (now known as Bumiputera Commerce Bank) where he served for ten years covering the internal audit, credit processing and administration, leasing and corporate banking functions.

In 1987 he was made a partner in Messrs Arthur Young (now known as Ernst & Young) with the main responsibility for managing the information technology consultancy business of the firm. However, in 1990 he was invited to rejoin Bank Bumiputera as the Chief General Manager, a management position with responsibilities for Information Technology, Human Resources, Financial Controls and Credit Controls. After serving for eight years, he decided for and early retirement in 1998 to venture into private business.

In his private business, he has ventured into information and communication technology (ICT), real estate and financial consultancy with varying degree of success. With his vast working knowledge and experience, En Arsam has proven to be an asset to any organization he is associated with.
